PBS (Semco UK) are looking for an SMC Technical Lead across assets providing oversight on all technical and operational aspects, enhancing the efficiency, cost-effectiveness and technical readiness of SMC activities
Details/duties:
- Provide Technical support for any proposed initiatives for Specialist Maintenance Contracts to include Upskilling requirements of core maintenance personnel
- Collaborate to identify and implement maintenance optimisation opportunities within SMCs, including necessary amendments to the CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) to better integrate SMC tasks into core crew routines
- Coordinate with planning teams to ensure that any rationalisation of SMCs is well-planned and visible per asset, facilitating a smooth transition of task ownership and ensuring alignment with core maintenance activities
- Lead the Management of Change (MoC) process for any updates or amendments to SMC practices, incorporating thorough technical assessments to address vendor requirements and ensure successful implementation
- After changes to SMC activities, ensure continued support for warranty-related tasks or vendor-required work, maintaining strong vendor relationships and engaging in regular performance reviews
- Oversee the technical authorisation for all changes in SMC activities, ensuring that relevant client and site stakeholders are consulted and approve updates
- Conduct periodic offshore site visits to monitor SMC activities, evaluating the effectiveness of implemented changes and identifying any challenges or benefits
- Identify high-volume, low-complexity maintenance tasks that can be executed as campaign able activities, working with SMC teams and asset maintenance teams to ensure well-planned execution
Qualifications/Experience required:
- Proven oil & gas industry experience in a similar position within a technical maintenance role
- Offshore certification and willing to travel offshore
- Strong understanding of maintenance practices, including vendor management, contract management and technical authorisation
- Strong project management abilities ensuring alignment and compliance of multiple SMC activities
- Excellent communication skills to effectively manage relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Proficient in budgeting, forecasting and cost control practices for maintenance activities
- Skilled in developing and reporting on KPIs, facilitating continuous improvement in SMC performance
